The secret to Shah Rukh Khan incredible energy levels
Te secret to Shah Rukh Khan incredible energy levels and bounce may be reflection. Not the careful consideration kind but the one that stares back at you from within a mirror. On the sets of Om Shanti Om, once the 41-year-old is ready with his make up, he stands in front of the mirror for a good 10 minutes before stepping out for the shot. During that time no one, including his close staff, is allowed to disturb him.A crew member from the film told the Mumbai Mirror, "That's his way of de-stressing himself and keeping his energy levels high. He is the most enthusiastic individual on our sets. Even at the end of the day he is all up and above."What ever it is he does standing in front of the mirror - hone his facial expressions for the forthcoming shot, fret over why fans don't like his new hairstyle, or wonder why anyone would want to install his statue in French Grevin Museum in Paris - there is no denying Khan has given a whole new meaning to what constitutes reflection.

bollywoodWorld.com, Unprecedented sparks are going to fly between Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan in “Agneepath” and its producer Karan Johar says the two have not got so intense with anyone before.
“The new ‘Agneepath’ is first and foremost an intense love story. There was love between Priyanka and Hrithik in ‘Krissh’. But here we want an unparalleled intensity between them. You’ve never seen Priyanka and Hrithik get so intense with anyone before,” said Karan Johar who is producing the film.
The camaraderie between Hrithik and Priyanka is so palpable that Karan Johar gets a sense of deja vu. As a child on his father Yash Johar’s sets of “Agneepath” in 1990 Amitabh Bachchan and Madhavi shared the same vibes as Priyanka and Hrithik.
“All I can tell you at the moment is that Priyanka is not playing a nurse like Madhavi in the original and she is not playing a prostitute either. Yes, we’ve built on the original relationship between Amit uncle and Madhaviji,” he added.
Directed by Mukul. S. Anand, the original “Agneepath” was produced by Karan’s late father Yash Johar and Amitabh had won the National Awards for his performance in it.
“Hrithik and Priyanka don’t believe in half-measures. If they’ve to convey intense feelings and passion they will go the whole hog in ‘Agneepath’. If in ‘Krissh’ they romanced innocently keeping the kids in mind, their togetherness in ‘Agneepath’ will be for adults only,” said a source.
Karan was just a teenager when his father had produced the original ‘Agneepath’. He still remembers the fantastic rapport between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi. That relationship, Karan and his ‘Agneepath’ remake’s director Karan Malhotra felt, needed to be developed.
“The Hrithik-Priyanka bonding in the new ‘Agneepath’ will build on the relationship that Karan had seen between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi in the original ‘Agneepath’. The love story would be the core of the film,” added the source.Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan are in news again. Vidya did her schooling from St Antony's School and later on joined St Xavier's College from where she graduated in sociology.
When she was doing her MA from Mumbai University, she was offered a role in a Malayalam film titled Chakram with Mohanlal, one of Vidya’s favorite actors. However, the project was shelved mid-way and Vidya had to wait for few more years to make her movie debut.
She made her debut as a model in a Surf Excel advertisement in 1998. She has acted in scores of ad films, most of which were directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
A couple of months later, she featured in three music videos (again directed by Sarkar) for ‘Euphoria’, Shubha Mudgal and Pankaj Udhas.

She is associated with AmFar (Americans for AIDS Research) and Hale House, a home for children born with HIV and those affected by Drug Addiction. Tusshar Kapoor had scored majorly with his portrayal of Lucky, the mute and feisty youngster in 'Golmaal' and 'Golmaal Returns'. Ekta Kapoor's sibling opines that entertainment is the biggest social issue and asserts that the Rohit Shetty helmed 'G3' will leave you rolling in the aisles with laughter…
You're in high spirits. Although, hah, fat chance that Tusshar Kapoor will share a swig of Vodka with you at his new singleton pad in suburban Mumbai. Well, journos are always eager with anticipation over a good round of free loading…
Never mind, you console yourself with a bite of sandwiches and biscuits. And truly, the time was a mite too early for the champagne bit (uh, oh).
Meanwhile, the actor is changing rapidly into his third set of chic clothes to face channels for their bites, oops sorry… bytes, and then he proceeds to grant you minutes from his precious time before he scoots off to another high flying event…
Excerpts from a swift chat with the yuppie actor…
You've played Lucky in all the three parts of the 'Golmaal' series. What would you say is the difference between Lucky in all the three parts?
Lucky in the first part is a little mischievous, in the second part he is playing an innocent character because he is trying to save his sister's marriage, in the third part we have kept that innocence, but at the same time he is an aggressive and angry character. I mean, he is a little short tempered. So Lucky is a different character in all the three movies, at the same time there is a similarity that he is very cute and very loveable.
Was there any reference point to Lucky, when you heard about his character?
When I heard the script I have a reference in my mind.. why is Lucky the way he is? How would his reactions be, what would be the level of his aggression that is something that I work it out in my mind. At the same time I've kept it similar to the other parts. Lucky should not be totally out of character. There should be a certain amount of consistency that I have shown in the earlier two parts and in 'Golmaal 3' too. At the same time the shades that are new need to be bought in to the performance also.
What do you think are Rohit Shetty's strong points as a director? As a director?

A number 6 and ame coming to number 50 (that is the number of geniuses, even the name Sanjay Leela Bhansali comes to number 50 and he is number 6 and is a genius of a director) has made him one of the biggest names in history of cricket. Presently his chakras are aligned and in sync but his aura is not in sync. His chakras are unaligned and aura scattered and greyish in color. Grey color makes him manifests his fears regarding his future. He is tensed presently. What to watch out for in 2011Why Do People Still Want Their Films to be Certified? Click here to add this article to My Clips
ByTehelka.com, February 7, 2011 - 09:45 ISTSharmila Tagore tells RISHI MAJUMDER why thcensor board is not running a popularity contest
Sharmila Tagore completes her tenure with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on 5 February. But she has been requested to stay on till the CBFC finds a suitable successor. During Tagore's tenure, the CBFC has come into conflict with a radically changing film industry. Scenes have been cut, adult certificates doled out, and some films denied certification altogether. At her home in Vasant Vihar in New Delhi, the 64-year-old sits relaxed against a cushy sofa. Rugs line the floor. The walls are covered with art and family photographs. She sips a cup of tea as TEHELKA brings up the criticism levelled against her as chairperson of the CBFC. "I have been misquoted in the papers," she says. "But we have to put our side there as well." And she begins to reply - adamant at times, but never losing that calm. Edited excerpts:
ootball has been awarded an A certificate for a scene where a former militant spoke about being tortured. Now its main markets - TV broadcasting, satellite channels, cable and DTH are closed. No distributor will pick it up. Isn't this a virtual ban? The CBFC is not familiar with the exhibition process of documentary films. The producer was invited to a meeting for his point of view but he didn't come, citing personal reasons. This film, with that scene, had to be given an A. The producer can easily delete that scene if he wants to and get a U/A certificate. This is precisely why the 15-plus category that we've been talking about is so important. Most people don't understand the U/A category. We're planning to issue ads to make people understand this.
Should separate guidelines be formulated for documentary films?Maybe. But making these guidelineisn't the CBFC's job. The CBFC can only suggest it to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, as any director can
The CBFC is governed by a 1952 Act. What changes are due?We have suggested a 15plus category for teenagers because we feel there is a difference between a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old. At 15, they're far more mature - and they can deal with a more adult film
With the free access that Internet and television provide today, how is film censorship relevant?
That's an important question but I can only see it from the other end. Why do people still want their films to be certified? Why don't they just go online and show it. I see films as the kind of entertainment you enjoy in the hall with everyone else. This has a different impact from watching it alone - online or on television. Censorship for this is important and relevant - and that's why the debate is on. Every democracy, except maybe Sweden, has a form of censorship. In most democracies, the board of certification is controlled by their film industry. Whereas in India, in the absence of one cohesive film body, the certification guidelines are formed by the government.
What's your objection to film titles like Yeh Saali Zindagi and Kaminey?Yeh Saali Zindagi means 'life is a bitch'. In a dialogue, the impact is different. But here, it's the title of a film. You keep saying, "Yeh Saali Zindagi ka ticket le ke aao; Yeh Saali Zindagi kaisi hai?" You're giving it currency. People, even in the same house, have different perceptions. I think this imposes a social responsibility on all of us. Not vis-à-vis Sweden or Australia or America - but vis-à-vis India. There is the view that people become insensitive to such words with usage. But the idea is not to become insensitive. The idea is to engage with the film, not become passive recipients. The idea is to be media literate, which is better than censorship.
How does the CBFC sit on judgement on the politics of a film?We denied a certificate to a film called Aamchi Mumbai because it said Maharashtra is only for Maharashtrians, which went against our Constitution. It portrayed Gujaratis and Punjabis as exploiters of Mumbai - the only good guy was a Maharashtrian who sometimes resorted to violence to fight these 'exploiters'. We called in Chitra Palekar as an adviser, and she agreed with us. Finally, it went to the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT), which asked for cuts - and the producer agreed. In Parzania, we cut a few scenes where a political party's name was mentioned. In Jai Bolo Telangana, there was a scene in which a student from Telangana was seen self-immolating, which we made shorter. We deleted two lines of dialogue: "Are you A (Andhra Pradesh) or T (Telangana)," and "Unless Telangana comes, we won't get jobs." The film was neither fact nor fiction - and it had the potential for creating law and order problems and offending people. So we had to be careful. What sort of law and order problems? One is spontaneous, which I haven't seen in my tenure. The other is the kind engineered by groups that want visibility like with The Da Vinci Code, Jodhaa Akbar and Fanaa.
But this means that such moral police can affect the decisions of the CBFC. Can they?
No. Let me clarify. No one can pressurise the certification process. Neither the moral police nor the ministry.Do political parties influence this process of certification?
We have a set of panel members each in nine regions, from various walks of life - homemakers, journalists, doctors, politicians, dancers and singers. They decide the certification of a film, which the ministry can't overturn. The list of panel members is issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. I have heard of politicians calling and asking for people to be included in a panel. But during my tenure, I have not seen people with party affiliations exercising this power. No other organisation is exposed to the differences in Indian perception more than the CBFC - between urban and rural sentimentality. Every individual clamours for certification that suits their norms. But we have to issue one certificate for the whole of India. We follow the yardstick of a common sensibility, a yardstick the Supreme Court laid down in the case of Ore Oru Gramathile (a 1988 Tamil film that dealt with reservation). From a feudal society to a consumer one, we've exploded, not evolved. We try to take as many people as we can - the majority - along. But we can't always be popular. A producer still has the prerogative of asking for a review committee, which is set up within two days, and to further appeal to the FCAT.
What government pressures operate where the board is concernedEarly in mytenure, I was told by an officer working with me that the release of a particular film needs to be postponed. But I spoke to the person and said if this film is released, rather than stalling it and creating a controversy, it will just come and go - so it was released. Another film - one stuck for 13 years - had to do with Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. Look, we are an arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Let's say you are the minister. You have come to know that a film can be problematic and the message comes to us. The CBFC's role then is to assess it and give our opinion.
Prakash Jhreportedly said Raajneeti was given an A certificate due to the pressure from the Congress and the Gandhi family

By Bollywood Hungama News Network, February 8, 2011 - 13:37 ISTAamir Khan, Katrina Kaif The news of Aamir Khan being roped in to play the villain in Dhoom 3 was a rage last week. However, the big question since then has been, who will be signed as the lead actress opposite him. Though a number of names were being tossed around by the media, Bollywood Hungama has learnt from its sources that Katrina Kaif will be playing the female lead in Dhoom: 3.
Katrina, who is currently doing YRF's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, has beaten the other contenders to clinch the role
Though the rest of the cast, namely Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra remains unchanged, Aamir and Katrina's addition to the cast certainly heats things up. Considering the chemistry between Aamir and Katrina, the duo has put all questions to rest, with their photographic rendition of the classic film Pyaasa that garnered positive response from fans and industry folk alike.
Bollywood Hungama has also learnt from its sources that Aamir won't be charging his usual fee for D: 3. Instead, he will have a stake in the profits of the film. To be precise Aamir will have a total of 33% stake in the profits of the film. This will be the first time that YRF has permitted such sharing. However, though this may be a first for the production house, Aamir has cut down his share from the usual 40% that he had for the film 3 Idiots.
When we contacted, Rafiq Gangjee from YRF replied, "The casting for the girls of Dhoom: 3 has not started. Also, YRF does not discuss artist contracts and agreements."
While Aamir's publicist said, "The 33% profit sharing ratio is not true, besides we do not have any profit sharing ratio with YRF as such. While on the remuneration i will not comment."
While Yash Raj Films refrains to comment on this, we can safely bet that with Katrina being signed on for Dhoom: 3, and Aamir adding another shade to the film with his talent, the high octane torque film promises to be more than just fast bikes.

By Subhash K. Jha, February 8, 2011 - 15:08 ISTFaruk Kabir They married secretly a year ago. Now exactly a year later, filmmaker Faruk Kabir and his actress-wife Rukhsar are under fire for having kept family and friends in the dark about their marriage. Buckling under the pressure of outrage, the two have decided to host a belated reception for all their friends and family.\
Says Faruk, "Only my sister and mother and her two close friends were present at the Nikaah. Rukhsar lost her beloved grandmother and then her mother before the marriage. And her father can't travel. So she had no real family at the wedding. I think we owe it to our close relatives friends and colleagues in the film industry to have them share in our moment of joy."
Faruk Kabir says he decided to reveal his secret marriage with actress Rukhsar on an impulse.
Says the director of Allah Ke Banday, "We got married on 23 March 2010 at a wedding that was only attended by my parents and sister. We didn't even invite any of our closest friends. She had some issues to resolve and we thought it would be best to wait. I was also embroiled in delays and financial crises while shooting Allah Ke Banday. She has been a part of my life for six years now. So everyone in the family knew about her existence in my life. We decided to make it public on an impulse. I just spoke about it on Facebook and it caught on."
Faruk's greatest joy and relief is the fact that his mother and wife get along like a house on fire.
"Fortunately no fire in the house at all. They are more like mother and daughter than daughter-in-law. I've suddenly become the outsider in our home. They spend all their time making plans from which I am excluded. They go shopping together and they don't even tell me," grumbles Faruk good naturedly.
